About the Whois Checker
The WHOIS Checker queries the official registry and registrar WHOIS servers for a domain and shows the full public record. Use it to find out which registrar a domain is registered with, when it was created, when it expires, which name servers it uses and what status codes (such as clientTransferProhibited) are set.
Many registrars now redact personal contact details for privacy, so owner names and addresses often show as "REDACTED". The technical data - dates, registrar and name servers - is always public.

Why are the owner details redacted?
Since GDPR, most registrars hide personal contact information. You can usually reach the owner through the registrar's contact form or the "Registrant Contact URL" shown in the record.
Can I check any domain extension?
Yes for all common generic and country domains whose registry runs a public WHOIS service. A few country registries do not publish WHOIS data.
How do I know when a domain expires?
Look for the "Registry Expiry Date" or "Registrar Registration Expiration Date" line in the result.
